HELP!
I have nothing to wear. And when I say ‘nothing to wear’ I
don’t literally mean nothing in my closet at all to wear, I mean nothing I want to wear. It’s easy to choose your
go-to dress or outfit for a night on the town, but it can be challenging when
it comes to your day-to-day look. Sometimes your everyday casual pieces can
become…boring. I mean, let’s face it, not everyone can rock a Versace baroque
print blouse every day. Luckily, I’ve found a way to use bold, colorful jewelry
to revive boring, played out outfits! In this post I will show you how you can let your jewelry
essentially ‘make’ the outfit while wearing basic, everyday tops.
When I'm feeling super casual I'll just throw on a very basic shirt. In cases like this I really step up my jewelry game with something bold and eye-catching. It's easier to draw attention away from the fact that I'm wearing my favorite $6 clearance top from Marshall's, and put's all of the focus on my jewelry. I actually get a ton of compliments when I do this because it allows my jewelry to really pop! The key is in color coordination. If you can find a piece that perfectly matches the colors in your top, you're golden.

Sometimes, I have to actually look like I have some business about myself while still perusing the aforementioned basic tops. I tend to lean more toward dainty pieces, but not always. The look I'm going for here: Simple and sophisticated. Can you see it?

These are just a few ideas to get you started with your wardrobe makeover. There are a couple of things you have probably learned from this post: I love colorful jewelry, I love tassels, and I'm a sucker for color coordination. I also hope you learned that you can look like a million bucks without spending a ton of money on extravagant clothing. Coordinate the color of your jewelry to match the colors in your top, or allow your jewelry to be an interesting pop of color.
